Project Details

In 2024 we worked on Jungheinrich’s Milton Keynes HQ refurbishment project.

This was a sustainability-focused revamp to transform a dated, inefficient building into a modern, sustainable facility whilst creating a better working environment for employees. The existing building was stripped down to basic steel frame structure to facilitate the erection of new mezzanine structure creating additional floor space as well as the installation of new wall and roof cladding with greater thermal efficiency.

The existing steel frame and foundations were assessed to cope with the implementation roof PV arrays. Additional steel members were introduced to complement the new internal arrangement, new door & window positions and relocation of entrance lobby area. Externally, a new car park utilising permeable block paving was proposed and a 55,000l rainwater harvesting tank was incorporated into the existing drainage system.
