FIRE RISK MANAGEMENT

Enhanced Fire safety legislation has made it clear that Fire Risk Management must be an active part of everyday building management, rather than treated as a once-a-year compliance task.

‘Active’ fire risk management means, fire safety being part of daily operations, responsibilities are clearly owned, risks are monitored continuously and people understand and take ownership for fire safety

Our Approach to Fire Risk Assessments

The BE Safe fire risk assessment goes beyond an inspection of the workplace, we undertake a full evaluation of the building, its people and its use to understand how well core elements are established into building management, for example:

· Is fire safety embedded into routine maintenance?

· Is there fire stopping requirements and are they considered when carrying out works?

· Are fire arrangements updated whenever layouts change, new equipment is installed or occupancy patterns shift?

· Is fire safety integrated into contractor and tenant management?

· Is scenario planning integrated into fire safety training?

Key benefits of implementing active fire management

· Lower likelihood of fire instances

· Faster detection and response

· A proportionate response, making sure the right solutions are embedded for the workplace

· Safer occupants and more resilient operations

· Reduced insurance and potential cost savings

Our Standards

Our fire risk assessments are carried out in conjunction with the PAS 79 British Standard. PAS 79 provides a best practice framework for documenting, justifying and justifying fire safety findings. In addition to Fire Risk Assessments, we are also able to provide:

· Fire Safety Audits,

· Emergency Evacuation Planning

· Fire Safety Policies & procedures

· Fire Warden Training
