CDM-ADVISOR

We can offer the Client a CDM-Advisor(A) service, a role that provides dedicated support and advice throughout the duration of the project. Engaging a CDM-A is a strategic appointment that promotes safety and adds value by improving planning, reducing risk and supporting successful project outcomes.

The leadership shown by our CDM-A delivers value for clients by facilitating effective communication between stakeholders in the design and delivery stage; reduces costs and risk management issues through the encouragement of whole-life strategic thinking; as well understanding any site constraints, specific hazards or any organisational issues that may impact practical delivery.

How the role will be delivered:

Pre-Construction:

· Provide guidance to the project team on their legal duties under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM) and other applicable legislation.

· Advising on the competence requirements of CDM duty-holders.

· Assisting with the identifications & preparation of pre-construction information.

· Provide assurance of an active Design Risk Management process

· Agreeing the format and requirements.

Construction Phase:

· Carrying out independent health and safety audits of the appointed Principal Contractor / Contractor, leading to a better health and safety performance on site. The frequency can be agreed; however, we would recommend at least fortnightly.

· Monitor the production of health and safety file by the Principal Designer.

· Any significant changes in design are captured and recorded within the DRM process.

Project Completion:

· The health and safety file is handed over, and any training / information is identified and provided

· Communication of any post project residual risk that may need to be managed by the Client.
