Project Details
NBU Universal currently occupy office space within 10 Fleet Place, London. This includes the first floor of the nine-storey building. The arial image below shows the building within the context of its surroundings.
A requirement has been identified for a mezzanine structure between ground and first floor at the northern end of the building. This mezzanine would provide space for sound, vision and production workshop areas, as well as a gantry area that would allow a ‘flash cam’ zone and facilitate filming from a higher platform level.
CBRE are acting as agent for NBC Universal, where they will provide project management, design and construction services for the installation of the proposed mezzanine structure. The background and site constraints are complex, with the ground floor originally being a highway that run beneath eth stories above, and being of suspended construction, which in part spans directly over a major underground rail line.
BE Design have supported the client from conceptual design for the mezzanine structure, through to its construction, which is currently underway.
