We are pleased to announce that Andrew Gwynne has been promoted to Director of Sustainability at BE Design. Andrew has an extensive and highly specialised background in sustainability consultancy within the built environment sector. Andrew began his career focused on conducting detailed surveys of residential and commercial buildings, primarily for Energy Performance Certificates (EPC), and subsequently expanded his expertise to encompass Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP) calculations, alongside comprehensive energy and sustainability reporting.
With over 18 years of progressive experience, Andrew has developed a great understanding of environmental performance assessment, energy modelling, and regulatory compliance frameworks essential for sustainable design. His technical competencies include being a qualified BREEAM Assessor and Home Quality Mark Assessor—credentials that underscore his proficiency in applying rigorous sustainability metrics and standards to building projects across all development phases in the UK and Europe.
Andrew is leading BE Design’s strategic initiatives in embedding practical sustainability principles into projects, guiding clients along the pathway to achieving net zero carbon targets while advancing the firm’s commitment to responsible, high-performance built environments. His deep expertise positions him as a key driver for innovation in sustainable construction practices, facilitating seamless integration of renewable technologies, resource-efficient material specifications, and lifecycle carbon management.
