On 25 September, we marked a decade since the adoption of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—a bold global blueprint committing the world to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all by 2030. The SDGs have driven real change: significant progress in education access, health outcomes, electricity provision, and renewable energy adoption has improved millions of lives.
The latest UN SDG Report reminds us that with only five years left, the pace of change is not fast enough, and too many people still face poverty, hunger, and exclusion. Now is the time to recommit and double down on collective action—in business, government, and civil society—to create inclusive growth, tackle climate change, and build resilient economies. Success stories around the world prove that, together, we can accelerate progress if we invest in food systems, green energy, digital skills, jobs, climate action, and social protection
