BE Design have supported the client with civil, structural and geotechnical support from conception of this four industrial unit park, over 4 years ago. The scheme is now well into construction and we have been novated to the Contractor, undertaking detailed design to ensure completion of the development in line with the programme for end client and tenants. With the four units phased in an overlapping construction sequence, it offered a great opportunity for our junior engineers and technicians to walk the site and gain further experience of construction techniques. It was a great day out with lots of interaction with the Contractor and it allowed staff to develop their technical skills and knowledge. Of course, being the UK, we witnessed four seasons in one day, helping to view management of surface water!
