OUR TIME AT DATA CENTRE WORLD FRANKFURT 2022

BE Design – Built Environment Design Partnership is, once again, attending a prominent Data Centre conference to discuss current thinking and engage with the supply chain in future developments.

Our Director Rich Leathers is in Frankfurt today meeting up existing and new clients in the #datacentre world. The subject of diesel use to support redundancy within the data centre systems is still a hot topic to be addressed. The provision of battery cells as an alternative is increasing in use, with Google recently being the first of the larger players to completely replace generators with batteries at one of it’s centres.

Sustainability, along with the wider ESG, dominates the industry developments – and quite rightly so. This is to the extent where sustainability is climbing up the priority list of key factors for locating a data centre within a region, where traditionally the top priorities have been power supply, followed by data network supply.
