James is Head of Architecture at BE Design, leading the architectural direction of the practice and working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, design-led solutions across a range of sectors. With over 10 years’ experience in the industry, James has worked on a number of high-profile and complex projects, providing clear, considered advice and guiding schemes from early concept through to delivery.

James has a strong eye for design and a particular focus on maximising site potential for clients, creating well-considered buildings and places that add long-term value. He is experienced in navigating complex planning, technical, and environmental constraints, and believes that good architecture should not only respond to context and function but also create places that genuinely matter to the people who use them.

Beyond project delivery, James plays an active role in shaping BE Design’s architectural capability, supporting business growth and fostering a collaborative, design-focused studio culture.

In his spare time, James enjoys playing and watching sport, with his most recent obsession being padel.
