We are thrilled to introduce Birgit Painter as a Senior Sustainability Consultant at BE Design.
Birgit joined us in April and brings a rare combination of academic and professional expertise to the team. Holding a PhD from the Institute of Energy and Sustainable Development at De Montfort University, she has built her career across both research and consultancy, with a deep passion for sustainability and the built environment.
Her specialisms include low-energy building design, sustainability and ESG assessment methods (BREEAM, GHG Protocol, CDP, SBTi), occupant comfort, and air quality. In particular, Birgit is expanding our European delivery through her role in BREEAM In-Use assessments and due diligence in Germany, strengthening our capability to support clients across the continent.
With her extensive knowledge and collaborative approach, Birgit is already making a positive impact on our projects — helping clients to achieve ambitious sustainability goals while shaping stronger long-term relationships across Europe.
