The COP26 climate conference commenced yesterday on 31 October. The 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties is taking place in Glasgow for two weeks, bringing people together to accelerate action towards tackling climate change.
COP26 focused on four main goals:
1️⃣ Secure global net zero by mid-century and keep 1.5 degrees within reach
2️⃣ Adapt to protect communities and natural habitats
3️⃣ Mobilise finance
4️⃣ Work together to deliver
This final point is one that the BE Design Family is particularly passionate about. It’s not just up to world leaders to tackle climate change as each and every one of us has a part to play – in our personal lives and in our work.
As a multi-disciplinary practice in the built environment space, the choices we make as architects and engineers will shape the environment for years to come, which is why we prioritise designing responsibly for the future.
From sustainability management services to biophilic design and low carbon strategy, we work together with our clients to deliver sustainable placemaking solutions and look forward to seeing the exciting changes planned to protect our environment.
