BE DESIGN NAMED ONE OF UK’S TOP PLACES TO WORK IN PROPERTY

Our multi-disciplinary team works with an open and supportive focus – something that has never been as important that is has been this year. It’s incredibly important to us that our staff are happy, healthy and invested in – so we are absolutely thrilled to have been named as one of Property Week’s Best Places to Work in Property for 2020.

To establish the best workplaces in the industry, all companies and their employees were surveyed by the Best Companies Group – independent analysts commissioned by Property Week. The surveys – which were carried out before the coronavirus outbreak – covered a range of topics, including management culture, working conditions and benefits, to diversity, social activities, and wellbeing initiatives.

Director Stephen Oakden said: “With everything we do at BE Design for our clients having health and wellbeing at its heart, it is so important that this begins at home with us. We go the extra mile to make sure that the physical and mental wellbeing of everyone is looked after. This includes providing a cycle to work scheme, giving everyone access to healthy food and refreshments for free, holding regular yoga and exercise sessions, and social events just to name a few. We all greatly look forward to the time we can re-introduce these activities in person safely post-COVID.

“We also provide additional holiday allowance for longstanding staff, an excellent boosted pension scheme and flexible working. And very importantly, we invest in our people, providing career progression through internal promotions and making available training opportunities through apprenticeships, placements, and degree support.

“There is no doubt that this year has been a strange one for everyone – not just in property, but around the globe. The fact that these awards are based on staff feedback makes us even more proud to make the list, especially because our vibrant BE Design family is what makes the business what it is today. The senior management team cannot thank the team enough for their dedication and support throughout this year to continue our success not just as a business, but as a family too.”
