We’d like to extend a huge welcome to Steve Sloan, who has recently joined us as an associate for highway design. With a wealth of experience in industrial development projects, highway design and airfield schemes, and a career history that has taken him as far as Equatorial Guinea, we’re delighted to have Steve on board as part of the BE Design family.
Steve said: “I was drawn to BE Design because of its family atmosphere. People at all levels are made to feel a valued part of the company, which is something really unique to this practice. I’m looking forward to building up a team to provide highway design for internal schemes, and later to deliver highway projects in their own right.”
Steve is an Incorporated Engineer and has been a member of the Institute of Civil Engineers for more than 20 years.
We asked Steve about what he’s most passionate about in the sustainability space. He said: “With my highway design background, I’m very interested in sustainable drainage and design for flood mitigation. With the effects of climate change and increased public awareness around global warming, this area will only become more significant as time goes on.”
