ANNA TSARTSARI INVITED AS A PANELIST AT THE UKREiiF HARWORTH GROUP DICUSSION

Our Co-Founder and Head of ESG and Sustainability was invited as a panelist to the UKREiiF discussion organised by Harworth Group:

“Beyond the building: delivering sustainable Industrial & Logistics developments”

Climate resilience, emissions reduction and wider environmental impact are rising sharply up the agenda for developers, occupiers, manufacturers and energy providers. Modern properties, in well-planned spaces are dominating what limited supply of industrial & logistics space there is, and there appears to be no shortage of takers – Grade A buildings accounted
for close to 90% of leasing transactions in 2022. The discussion was focused on what a sustainable Manufacturing & Logistics development looks like, what occupiers want from one, and what the financial implications are.

Anna also presented examples of our work on decarbonising existing I&L buildings by applying the CRREM tool and dynamic simulation. The BE Design ESG team has worked on providing retrofitting solutions on the pathway to Net Zero for more than 4million sqft of existing assets.  Anna was also joined by:

• Peter Henry, Director of Sustainability, Harworth Group (Chair)
• Marzia Zafar, Deputy Director of Strategy & Innovation, Ofgem
• Mike Maddock, Managing Director, Performance Engineered Solutions & Chair of Make UK Board, Yorkshire & Humber
• Colin Morrison, Senior Director of Sustainability, Turley
