BE Design is proud to have delivered the EU Taxonomy alignment and CRREM (Carbon Risk Real Estate Monitor) assessment for DHL’s new state of the art Supply Chain Logistics Centre in Bastukärr, Sipoo, Finalnd. This work underlines our continued commitment to supporting clients in achieving measurable sustainability outcomes through technical rigour and data-driven environmental benchmarking.

The new 44,000-square-metre facility combines extensive high-rack warehouse capacity with modern office space. The building operates as a carbon-neutral facility, integrating advanced energy strategies, efficient building systems, and responsible material use to minimise lifecycle carbon emissions.

BE Design completed 3-d Energy Dynamic Simulation Modelling (DSM) to achieve CRREM carbon and Energy Use Intensity (EUI) compliance (Paris 1.5 degC) with design stage specifications optimising roof solar PV provision.BE Design’s role in completing the EU Taxonomy Alignment and CRREM assessments ensures that the development not only meets current environmental compliance requirements but also anticipates future market expectations for resilience, decarbonisation, and transparency.
